Brandon Ruckman brings more than 25 years of coaching and player development experience to Frozen Ropes 307. Originally from Henderson, Nevada, Brandon played high school baseball at Green Valley High School, one of the country's premier baseball programs, where he was coached by Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Famer Roger Fairless and current UNLV Head Coach Nick Garritano.

After moving to Laramie in 2006, Brandon quickly became involved in the local baseball community. From 2007 to 2022, he served on the Laramie Rangers Legion Baseball coaching staff in various roles, including Head JV Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, and Head Varsity Coach. During that time, he helped develop numerous successful players and was committed to building fundamentally sound athletes capable of competing at the next level.

Throughout his coaching career, Brandon has helped more than 20 players continue their baseball careers in college, including his son, Ben, and daughter, Kailyn. He also brings a unique perspective as both a coach and parent, having guided his own son and daughter through the recruiting and development process. His coaching philosophy focuses on building confidence, mastering the fundamentals, and creating a positive environment where athletes can develop both as players and as people.

In addition to coaching, Brandon is an equipment operator/firefighter with the Laramie Fire Department, where leadership, discipline, and mentorship are central to his daily life. Those same values carry over into his instruction, emphasizing hard work, accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Brandon specializes in hitting instruction, player development, baseball IQ, and helping athletes establish the habits and mindset necessary for long-term success. His goal is simple: help every athlete leave the facility more confident, more knowledgeable, and better prepared to compete than when they arrived.
